What does your handwriting say about you?  More than 5,000 personality traits can be linked to how we write.

While research supports the benefits of teaching children cursive writing, many of our students get little to no instructional time on learning this important skill.

Cursive writing helps our students be more active in their learning and have greater efficiency in putting thoughts on paper under time constraints.

In this program, students will have fun with colorful and tactile materials to practice with the formation of curves that lead to lower and upper case letters. Students will also practice on individual letters, words and sentences.

Students will make their own desk reference strips, practice cursive writing and finish the program with a creative short story to present to peers and take home.

Back by popular demand! We're offering our expository writing workshop again this summer.

Say what you mean — learn techniques to clearly communicate your thoughts and ideas in written form.

We give students instruction on step-by-step writing progression for a deeper understanding and confidence of the writing process.

We engage in elements of the Judith Hochman method, starting with sentence work and progressing through to outlining paragraphs and writing multi-paragraph outlines for essays.

Students will receive take-home templates that can be used for future writing assignments in addition to developing and completing their own essays that will be peer edited.
